The Vegas Golden Knights gave fan an interesting morning this morning. Alex Tuch, Malcolm Subban and Nate Schmidt all joined the team with full contact practice jerseys on. Know what this means? Three of our golden boys are back!
Tuch has been out as week-to-week for an injury to his right arm which happened during preseason. Schmidt was on IR after knee-to-knee contact with San Jose Shark Logan Couture during the season opener. He is now off IR and suspected to be ready to play Thursday. Subban sustained a lower body injury early during the October 10 away game in Arizona.
With their updated status, that unfortunately spells reassignment news for some of our rookies. Nicolas Hague, Nicholas Roy, Jake Bischoff and Garret Sparks have all been reassigned to the Chicago Wolves.
The Wolves will be playing in Arizona both tonight and tomorrow night. With their reassignments, this means our four fresh faces will still get some playing time.
It should also be noted that Deryk Engelland was absent from practice today. This comes after he sustained a minor lower-body injury during Sunday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks. Gerard Gallant reports that he is day-to-day.
Should have sent Subban to Chicago to get some games under his belt
I agree. He needs more play time.
