Yoga
YouTube has a lot of really great yoga videos. One of the most popular channels is Yoga With Adriene. Adriene has videos for all types of yoga: strength, flexibility, relaxation, stress and anxiety, back issues, etc. Check out her channel today and find a session that works for you.
If you have back issues and don’t feel like watching a session online, here’s a great chart of yoga positions you can do to help relieve that pain:
Fresh Air
Spend some time outside today. Go for a walk, sit on a bench, or even pull weeds. There’s no hockey on right now, and we’ve all been cooped up for too long. Sunlight and fresh air are rejuvenating.
Take a Bath
If you’re sore from working out, add epsom salt to your bath.
If you’re stressed, add lavender oil.
Meditation
Meditation provides a wide range of benefits including, but not limited to: relieves stress, controls anxiety, prevents age-related memory loss, improves sleep, lowers blood pressure, aids creativity, and even increases activity in the prefrontal cortex of your brain (which controls emotion). In general, meditation can increase happiness.
If you’re new to meditating, try a guided session through YouTube, or an app.
Many apps cost money, but they do offer free trials. Two of the favorite mediation apps are Calm and Headspace. There are also a few free apps. The two favorites that are free are Smiling Mind and Insight Timer.
In YouTube, you can stick with Yoga With Adriene and do her guided meditations, or you can listen to this session we found from PowerThoughts Meditation Club on YouTube that had over 6M views:

Whatever you choose to do today, make sure the focus is on taking care of yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically. As women we tend to put others before ourselves. But remember, by taking care of yourself, you are better able to support others.
